Located at the intersection of I-26 and I-77, BullStreet is South Carolina’s first urban gigabit community covering over 165 acres in the heart of downtown Columbia. It was a long time coming with a protracted sale from the state to the developers but now its historic charm, urban excitement and neighborhood feel are creating a one-of-a-kind experience for all to enjoy. Plans for the downtown Columbia’s Commons at BullStreet project include 414,000 square feet of retail space for shops and restaurants, plus apartments, a hotel and offices. The minor league Fireflies baseball stadium, Spirit Park, is the first major project to be completed and opened in the Spring of 2016.
For those of you interested in the Real Estate side of the Commons at BullStreet, student housing construction is coming with a $55 million, six-building campus of apartment and townhouses. From all indications there will be future apartments, townhouses/condos and even possibly single family homes around the project but in a separate section with a different name.
Exciting times in downtown Columbia, SC living!
The Commons at BullStreet is located at the former site of the SC Department of Mental Health. Easy access from many of the surrounding Columbia suburbs.
